What do you think Astrology is True or False or Fake or an Art?
A very interesting question and I will try to answer because I was a strong non believer into astrology. Being a science student and Computer graduate I always felt it to be Fake or False or way to cheat people or blind faith. With so many stories and bad misconception around due to wrong usage of knowledge or lack of knowledge on subject or bad experience to wrong Guru(whose intention is making own benefit).
As a science student I strongly believe in experiments and on analysis of events based on outcomes. So when I started research on this subject which I accidently bumped into while doing my Predictive Analysis projects for events, businesses, stock Market, etc. I am a vivid reader and like to read lots of books and which inclined me to start my journey reading old scriptures — to understand our origins — from Vedas and other books.
I can say there are 3 buckets of people
- Strong believer in Astrology — either had good experience or have faith in it,
- Non Believers in Astrology — like me (but then I fall in all 3 categories now and my process went from 2 →3 →1)
- Non Believer's but who start believing after encountering this science due to a transformative event in life (could be good or bad, mostly bad as when situation is bad we seek for answers).
The reason many fail to understand the science is also the reason or fault of experts in this field (or lack of their knowledge). Most Astrologers rarely discuss the past events, characteristic traits or personal information with natives and directly jump into problem areas and remedies. This makes a big point of failure. So to elaborate this point I would say Astrology is a combination of below:
VEDIC ASTROLOGY = Strong science(personal experience-Predictive Analysis) + Intuition Power of Guru(Astrologer) + Spiritual Connection
It takes only 3 inputs to understand and predict about you and this itself is astonishing and should give us glimpse into depth of this subject. Date of Birth, Time of Birth and Place of Birth.
So point I am trying to make is the point of failure for most astrologers lies when they jump directly into problem and remedy before confirming if the Data (3 inputs we discussed above) are correct or not. That's where the major difference is. The Analysis should generate a report on characteristic traits some events, health issues etc. as per data(I refer it as data — as from my experience the analysis generated by most astrologers is accurate for input data but may be the data is wrong of native — means incorrect birth time, etc.). When you discuss this details with native it establishes how accurately is the birth data of native and if events and characteristics match, then second step on predictions should be followed. Unless done in right way it is going to give bitter experiences to people.
There are many misconceptions around like Rahu is bad, you have sade sathi(Saturn period 7 1/2) or Mula Nakshatra or Ashlesha Nakshatra born or Manglik, etc etc. Yes there is definitely truth behind it but we need to understand the reasons and souls life purpose behind. Saturn is a King Maker, though it gives delays and hardships it can also bestow immense upsides to you, similarly without having a Rahu on your side you cant rise in politics, etc., etc.
This is exact same process we follow where we discuss the details on characteristic's, health etc. (which is known to native) to understand accuracy of report and if convinced we go into predictive analysis to understand the unknown.

You will find amazing things and start feeling our age dumber compared to them. We think we are technologically advanced but I believe from small understanding of this world they were most advanced than us and carvings and books from past are evidences to same. As I said being a science student evidence is must, visit Hampi and other places in India to see it yourself to believe it (what has been left behind for us)!
