What does it mean to have 4th lord in 3rd house?

We have been reading and you know by now that 4th house represents your home, home environment, homeland, mother, nourishment, childhood friends, peace of mind, conveniences, intuition etc.
At the same time, as 3rd house is house of efforts, this house shows that results of this house will come only when person will put lots of efforts for a long time. One thing to remember here is that 3rd house is First of Upachaya Houses ( 3, 6, 10 & 11). Upachaya Houses improve with time. It means any planet in these houses improves in results with age and real good result is seen from a person’s 30s or 36s. Also, all the malefic planets provide very good results in Upachaya Houses but results may be seen in 30s or 36s.

Now, this can be a benefic or malefic loss depending upon the nature and dignity of planet. 4th house is belong to mother and 4th house lord placed 12th from own house, so it may be cause arishtha (harmful) for mother. Means if 4th house lord is not well placed in 3rd house, then cause health problems for mother. If 4th house lord is worst position in 3rd house then may cause death of mother. It may also cause separation with mother means native and mother may live away from each other. native may has some confusion in mind. It shows a person gets his peace of mind when he teaches/communicates with others. In a way, this position also shows foreign settlement.
